Consumables

Consumables like labels and ribbons are essential for thermal transfer printing and labeling applications. They ensure high-quality, reliable, and consistent print results.

Labels are used for printing product information, serial numbers, prices, dates, and more across various industries. They are also used for inventory management, loss prevention, price indication, asset tracking, and branding and promotion in the apparel and retail industry.

  • Thermal transfer labels: Work seamlessly with thermal transfer printers to produce optimum print results for barcodes, QR codes, RFID, etc.
  • Laser labels: Made from premium white face stock, resistant to high temperatures, and designed for high-speed, high-volume laser printers and copiers
  • Hand labeler labels: Available in various shapes, sizes, colors, and customized pre-print options, working seamlessly with hand labelers
  • Linerless labels: Environmentally friendly as they do not have backing paper or liner, reducing waste and carbon emissions

In thermal transfer printing, the ribbon is heated by the print head, causing the color layer to melt and transfer onto the label surface. Choosing the right ribbon depends on the application and label material.

Ribbons are available in different qualities to meet most requirements:

  • Wax ribbons
  • Wax/resin ribbons
  • Resin ribbons

Destructible Paper Labels

Destructible paper labels are a type of tamper-evident security label designed to break into small pieces when removal is attempted. They are commonly used for warranty seals, asset tracking, and to ensure product authenticity and quality.

Thermal receipt paper

Thermal paper is available in various sizes and formats:

  • Rolls: Thermal paper is commonly supplied in roll form, with the paper wound on a cardboard core. Roll sizes vary, with common widths being 2.25 inches (57 mm), 3.125 inches (80 mm), and 3.15 inches (80 mm).
  • Sheets: For wider letter-size printers, thermal paper may be supplied in sheet form.
  • Colors: Thermal paper is available in white, other colors, or even transparent.
  • Adhesive: Some thermal paper has a stick-and-peel adhesive backing, for use as labels and similar purposes.

Pre-printed labels

Pre-printed labels are labels that come with fixed information already printed on them, such as logos, contact details, or return addresses. These labels are beneficial for businesses that require consistent branding and messaging across their products or shipping materials.

Jewelry Labels / Tags

Jewelry labels and tags serve essential functions in the jewelry industry, primarily for pricing, identification, and branding. They come in various forms, materials, and designs to cater to different needs.

Thermal Transfer Ribbons

  1. Wax Ribbons: These are the most economical option and are ideal for printing on paper and matte surfaces. They offer decent durability for short-term applications but may not withstand exposure to oils or chemicals.
  2. Wax/Resin Ribbons: A hybrid option that combines wax and resin, these ribbons provide better durability and image quality than wax-only ribbons. They are suitable for coated papers and some synthetic materials, offering resistance to smudging and moisture.
  3. Resin Ribbons: The most robust type, resin ribbons are designed for printing on synthetic materials such as polyester and polypropylene. They offer excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, solvents, and extreme temperatures, making them ideal for long-lasting labels in harsh environments.
